Privacy

Last updated 25 July 2026

In one line: this site collects nothing about you, sets no cookies, and runs no analytics or tracking of any kind.

What is stored

One item, in your own browser's localStorage, under the key csd_ack. It records that you dismissed the notice shown on first visit, so you are not shown it again. It contains the value 1 and nothing else — no identifier, no timestamp, no record of what you looked at.

It never leaves your device and is not readable by anyone else. Clearing your browser's site data removes it, and the notice will simply appear again.

What is not done

Server logs

The site is static files on a hosting provider. That provider may keep standard access logs — IP address, timestamp, requested file, user agent — for security and abuse purposes. This is ordinary web-server behaviour and is outside the operator's control; those logs are not read, analysed, or used to build any profile.

Links off this site

Every seat links to its source report on nhtsa.gov. Following such a link is a request to a U.S. government server, governed by that site's own privacy policy, not this one.

Email

If you write in with a correction, that email is kept only as long as needed to deal with it, and is not added to any mailing list.

Your rights

Since no personal data is collected, there is nothing to access, export, correct, or erase. If you believe otherwise, write to [email protected].
